Win a Diamond Necklace With Gü
A gem of a promotion whose only flaw is the reliance on Facebook, which doesn’t support mobile devices for its apps.
Gü desserts just scream FMCG luxury – from the stylish packaging that extends inside the box to the desserts themselves, contained in little glass ramekins that look too good to throw into the recycling bin. They’re expensive of course so you’d expect the promotion to have a luxury prize, and they don’t disappoint with the latest one to give away a diamond a day for 60 days.
The promotional instructions are stuck onto the pack and they build the story around the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, cleverly underlining the brand’s premium credentials. To enter, the instructions say to go to facebook.com/guuk and enter the promotional code. They’re collecting your name, address, email and phone number. They don’t do anything silly like force you to ‘like’ the page before entering. The promotion is an instant win so you find out immediately if you’ve won or not (I didn’t).
The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the reliance on Facebook to host the promotion because this leaves mobile consumers out in the cold. Facebook would like to kill off brand microsites but that won’t happen until they allow mobiles to access their apps. There’s an un-advertised way for mobile users to access the entry form though; just go to this address on your phone: fb.mirserver.de/gu/jubilee/form/.

We hope to be on FM in a full time capacity as soon as polbisse!Sadly we are not in a position to say when this time will be. Maybe if enough people from Stafford send Ofcom a persuasive email to consider a full time station we will have a good chance of being on permanently! Sadly we have no choice over the Frequency allocated to us. We are aware of other stations bleeding into our broadcast as of the previous RSL. We will keep your location in mind, and hope the same issue will not effect you this time around. If it was up to us we would turn the power up on the transmitter!!! . but we are governed to stringent guide lines when broadcasting the RSL Thanks for your message and hope that answers some questions.Regards
