Job titles in agency delivery are inconsistent. “Delivery Lead” might be a Senior Project Manager, or it might be coordination work with a grander label. “Programme Director” sometimes owns a genuine connected programme; sometimes it describes one large project. The title doesn’t always tell you what you’d actually be doing.

This tool reads the job description and ignores the title. It compares what the role requires against a fixed eight-role taxonomy of agency delivery work, and returns a classification: what the role appears to be, what in the description supports that reading, and whether the title matches the responsibilities.

It’s useful if you’re a candidate trying to work out what you’d actually be committing to. It’s also useful if you’re a recruiter briefing a search, or a hiring manager checking whether a job description describes the role you actually need.
