Win a Holiday with Brancott Estate
A well-executed promotion that draws on the New Zealand desire to explore new places.
New Zealand-based Brancott Estate has a promotion on its wines to win a trip to Kyoto, San Francisco, Budapest, Singapore or St. Petersburg. To enter, I went to www.brancottestate.com and entered my date of birth. After clicking on the ‘Enter the Promotion’ link I was taken to www.brancottestate.com/curious-journeys. I entered my unique code from the neck collar, my full name and email address.
I was told that I hadn’t won a Lonely Planet travel guide but I’d been entered into the holiday draw. I was then invited to enter another promotion on Facebook to win £1000 worth of camera equipment. I clicked but was immediately warned about malware by my virus checker. Eventually I did get through to the second promotion (I had to ‘Like’ the page first).
The idea is all about adventure and discovery: the holiday locations – though a little mainstream for me – are probably appropriate for its target market.
Overall this is a well-executed promotion.
